Bussin Butters started with our family, our son Mason, and a desire to turn a difficult time in our lives into something positive.
When Mason was just two years old, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Like any parents facing a new diagnosis, we had a lot to learn, and there were plenty of sleepless nights along the way. During that time, we started experimenting with a nighttime peanut butter treat that Mason would enjoy.
Food has always been part of our family. With more than 60 years of family experience in food manufacturing, we did what came naturally—we got into the kitchen, started experimenting, and made our own.
What began as something for Mason quickly became a hit with our friends and family. We started bringing our creations to local farmers markets, and the response showed us that we had something special that we wanted to share with more people.
That idea eventually grew into Bussin Butters.
Today, we handcraft our nut butters in small batches in New Jersey, creating everything from familiar favorites to fun, dessert-inspired flavors that are meant to be dunked, spread, scooped—or just eaten straight from the jar. We put a lot of personality into what we make, but one thing hasn't changed: every batch is still made by our family with the same care that started this whole journey.
Bussin Butters also gives us an opportunity to support a cause that will always be close to our hearts. Each year, we donate a portion of our profits to Breakthrough T1D to support Type 1 diabetes research and education.
What started as a snack for our son has grown into something our entire family is proud to share.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has bought a jar, visited us at a market, shared our products with a friend, or supported our family along the way.
Made by our family for yours.
