FAQ — DuckDrop Local Delivery

Have questions about ordering, delivery, local products or becoming a DuckDrop vendor? You’ll find the most common answers below. If you still need help, contact us and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Ordering

What is DuckDrop

DuckDrop is a local online marketplace and coordinated delivery service. You can shop products from multiple participating farms and small businesses, combine them into one order and have that order delivered to your home.

Can I order from more than one vendor at a time?

Yes. That’s one of the main reasons DuckDrop exists. You can add products from multiple participating vendors to the same cart and complete one checkout.

Can I shop anytime?

Yes. You can browse and place orders anytime while ordering is open for an available delivery date. Product availability may change based on vendor inventory and seasonal production.

When is the order cutoff?

Orders close at 8:00 PM two days before the scheduled delivery date.

For example, if your delivery is Saturday, ordering closes Thursday at 8:00 PM.

Can I schedule an order for a later date?

Available delivery dates are shown during checkout. We keep the number of open dates limited so vendors can provide accurate inventory and DuckDrop can coordinate pickups and delivery routes efficiently.

Is there a minimum order?

No minimum order is currently planned. Local delivery is $10, and delivery is free when your order reaches $65.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Because orders are coordinated with multiple local vendors, changes and cancellations may become limited after the ordering cutoff. Contact us as soon as possible if you need help and we’ll let you know what options are available.

Delivery

Where will DuckDrop deliver?

DuckDrop is preparing to launch in selected ZIP codes throughout the Slate Belt and Nazareth area, with additional Lehigh Valley communities planned as the service grows.

Visit our Delivery page for the most current service-area information.

What are the delivery windows?

Available delivery windows are:

Morning: 8:00–11:00 AM

Afternoon/Evening: 3:00–7:00 PM

Available days and windows are based on your delivery area and shown during checkout.

How does the delivery-zone schedule work?

Delivery windows rotate between service areas to help keep routes efficient and give different communities access to both morning and afternoon/evening delivery periods. Your available options will be shown when you order.

How much does delivery cost?

Local delivery is $10. Delivery is free on orders of $65 or more.

Any applicable delivery fee is shown before checkout is completed.

Do I need to be home for my delivery?

Not for most orders. You can provide delivery instructions such as a front porch, side door or another safe drop location.

If your order contains refrigerated or frozen products, we recommend being available to bring it inside promptly or leaving an appropriate cooler in a shaded location.

Do you deliver to apartments?

Yes, when the address is within an available DuckDrop delivery area and we can safely access the delivery location. Please provide building, entrance, gate or drop-off instructions during checkout.

What happens if severe weather affects delivery?

Safety comes first. If weather, road conditions or another unexpected event affects a route, DuckDrop will communicate any delay, rescheduling or available options as soon as possible.

Products & Local Vendors

Will the same products be available every week?

Not always—and that’s part of shopping local. Farm inventory, seasonal harvests and small-batch production can change throughout the year. DuckDrop works with vendors to keep marketplace availability as accurate as possible.

Who produces the products sold on DuckDrop?

Products are supplied by participating local farms, food producers and small businesses. Vendor profiles help you learn who produced or made the items you’re buying.

What happens if something becomes unavailable after I order?

Occasionally, a vendor may discover that an item is unavailable after an order is placed. When appropriate, we may contact you about a comparable substitution. If a suitable replacement isn’t available or approved, the unavailable item will be refunded or credited.

Does DuckDrop make the products it sells?

DuckDrop operates the marketplace and coordinates collection and delivery. Products are grown, raised, baked, prepared or produced by the individual vendors identified with each listing unless specifically stated otherwise.

How are prices determined?

Product pricing is established in partnership with participating vendors and displayed clearly in the DuckDrop marketplace before you order.

Food Safety & Product Handling

How are refrigerated and frozen products handled?

DuckDrop uses insulated and temperature-controlled equipment as appropriate during pickup, staging and delivery. Products are kept organized and separated according to their handling requirements.

What should I do with perishable products after delivery?

Refrigerate or freeze perishable products promptly after receiving your order. If you choose an unattended doorstep delivery, consider leaving an appropriate cooler during warm weather.

Where can I find ingredients and allergen information?

Ingredient and allergen information is provided by the individual vendor when applicable and should be reviewed before purchase. If you have a question about a particular product, contact us before ordering and we’ll help you obtain additional information from the vendor.

Order Problems, Credits & Refunds

Something is missing, damaged or incorrect. What should I do?

Contact DuckDrop as soon as possible through our Contact page and select Order or delivery issue. Include your order number and, when helpful, a photo of the affected product or packaging.

What if a refrigerated or frozen product arrives too warm?

Do not consume a product if you believe it may be unsafe. Contact DuckDrop promptly with your order number, the affected product and any helpful photos or details so we can review the issue.

Do you offer refunds, credits or replacements?

Depending on the circumstances, DuckDrop may provide a refund, account credit or replacement. Product and delivery concerns are reviewed individually so we can provide an appropriate solution.

Vendors

I own a farm or local business. How can I sell through DuckDrop?

Visit our Become a Vendor page to learn how the partnership works, what types of businesses we’re looking for and how to apply.

What types of vendors are you looking for?

DuckDrop is interested in qualifying local farms, produce growers, dairy and creamery businesses, meat, poultry and egg producers, bakers, prepared-food businesses, coffee and beverage producers, pantry-product makers, approved wellness and non-food makers, and farm stores carrying locally produced staples.

Does applying guarantee acceptance?

No. Submitting an application begins the conversation. Vendor acceptance depends on factors including product fit, location, licensing, quality, production capacity and the needs of the DuckDrop marketplace.
