We believe a lot more people would buy from local farms and small businesses if doing it fit more easily into everyday life.

A family might want vegetables from one farm, eggs from another, locally roasted coffee and bread from a nearby bakery — but finding the time to visit several locations every week is difficult.

Local producers face the other side of that same problem. Growing food, making products and running a small business already takes an enormous amount of time. Building individual delivery routes and reaching customers throughout surrounding communities adds another job.

DuckDrop is designed to connect those two needs.

Customers get convenient access to more local products. Vendors gain another way to reach nearby households without having to build a full delivery operation of their own.

DuckDrop grew out of our own connection to the Slate Belt and our belief that strong communities depend on strong local farms and small businesses.

We are building this as a local, family-driven business — not as another anonymous national delivery platform. The goal is to create something that works for the people producing the food, the people buying it and the communities where both live.

We’re starting close to home, learning what works and building relationships before expanding farther across the Lehigh Valley.
